I'm a huge Johnny Carson fan. I grew up begging to stay up late to watch the Tonight Show before Jay Leno destroyed it. Mr. Carson (yes, he deserves the Mr.) always treated the audience with a level of class that Jay doesn't. Note to Jay: you don't have to insult my intelligence or dive low to get a laugh.
