I’m Steve Kirks, a technologist in Springfield, Missouri. I’ve worked in telecom and technology for more than 25 years, and I still get a kick out of figuring out how a new tool fits into real work.
I’ve been writing online since 2003, back in the Radio UserLand days. The old posts are still here under Writing: some about technology, some about travel and leadership, and a fair number about food.
Away from work I cook (my hummus recipe has outlasted several redesigns of this site). I’m married to a metalsmith whose work is in galleries across the United States.
